Has anyone retired and single ever been on a cruise ship and met anyone?

I am considering going on a cruise ship and no longer married. I met a woman one time that met her husband on a cruise ship while they were both travelling alone. Sounds like a nice Love Boat connection. Just wondered if you know of this happening to others too. And… I wonder if anyone knows what it is like to travel on a cruise ship as a single person.
